Pre K to Kindergarten

Mohammadia Madrasha offers education for Pre-K to Kindergarten students, focusing on high academic standards. Our goal is to support students in reaching their full potential by fostering cognitive, developmental, and spiritual growth through a commitment to scholastic excellence.

A Montessori-Inspired Beginning

At Mohammadia Madrasha, we offer children a Montessori-inspired start that encourages them to explore, create, and develop critical thinking skills, building a strong foundation for their future academic journey.

Using the Montessori philosophy and approach, children engage in hands-on activities across six key areas of learning: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Science/Culture, and Arabic/Islamic studies.

In the Early Learning Department, we recognize and honor each child’s unique learning path. This respect for their natural growth and abilities allows us to nurture a deep love for learning while fostering focus, creativity, initiative, self-confidence, and independence. We guide children in making responsible choices and developing self-discipline.

Practical Life Activities

Mastery in the Practical Life area promotes self-reliance, independence, confidence, and boosts self-esteem. These activities also play a key role in developing focus, improving hand-eye coordination, and strengthening concentration skills.

Sensorial Activities

Sensorial activities are designed to enhance and sharpen a child’s sensory awareness. Through repeated practice, children learn to recognize even the smallest differences and variations. Montessori-inspired sensorial exercises focus on refining one specific sense at a time, ensuring its development to the fullest.

Language Activities

Montessori-inspired language materials and activities equip children with advanced communication and expression skills, while also fostering organization, classification, and the development of thought. Language is introduced to children through a structured sequence of lessons.

In the Early Learning Department, additional resources and materials are incorporated to ensure that Common Core Standards are effectively implemented and met.

Mathematics Activities

In the Mathematics area, children transform abstract mathematical ideas into tangible concepts using Montessori-inspired materials. Through a carefully structured sequence of lessons and activities, they build a solid understanding of fundamental math skills and concepts, laying a strong foundation for future learning.

Science and Culture Activities

The Science and Culture area encompasses subjects like geography, general science, zoology, botany, astronomy, and history.

Cultural study units are designed to help children adapt to their society by starting with real-world experiences they encounter in their environment. These experiences gradually lead to an understanding of more abstract concepts through guided interactions with their surroundings.

Arabic and Islamic Activities

Arabic and Islamic lessons are delivered through interactive, hands-on materials and activities, giving children a solid understanding of the Arabic language and Islamic concepts and teachings.
